We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Central Proposal Team as the Head. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of over 15 years in proposal management and a deep understanding of proposal processes across various industries and in particular Project Business. This role is pivotal in shaping the way we present our offerings to clients and partners, playing a critical part in our business growth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Central Proposal Team, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team environment.
Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop proposal strategies that align with our business goals and maximize our competitive edge.
Proposal Creation: Lead the team in developing compelling, well-structured, and tailored proposals that resonate with clients and address their specific needs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all proposal content, adhering to branding and messaging guidelines.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, technical, and operational teams to gather relevant information and insights for crafting comprehensive proposals and once order is realized seamlessly support in transferring all the order entry documents to Projects and support the execution team as required.
Bid Management: Oversee the end-to-end bid management process, from initial opportunity assessment to proposal submission, tracking progress and meeting deadlines.
Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to understand client requirements and incorporate feedback into proposals.
Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics to continuously enhance the proposal approach.
Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators for the Central Proposal Team's effectiveness and propose improvements accordingly.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, mentor team members, and facilitate skill development to benhance the team's capabilities.
Skill sets/Additional requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's degree preferred.
15+ years of progressive experience in proposal management, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven track record of successfully leading and winning complex, high-value proposals.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
In-depth understanding of proposal best practices, including technical, commercial, and financial aspects.
Familiarity with relevant proposal management software/tools.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
